  • Arrive in Ireland

    • Morning – Arrive in Dublin
    • Late Morning – Drive to Cork via Templemore Garda College Visit, Co. Tipperary
    • Afternoon – Check in to housing in Cork
    • Evening – Group Dinner & Irish Traditional Music
  • Cork

    • Walking Tour of Cork City
    • Visit Elizabeth Fort – a 17th century star shaped fort which housed female convicts
    • Visit Cork City Gaol – Historical Prison
  • Cork

    • Visit Spike Island – take a short boat trip across the harbour to visit this island used as a prison for over 400 years from the 1600s right up until 2004
    • Visit Cobh – this historical port town previously known as Queenstown was the last port of the Titanic before setting sail on its fateful voyage across the Atlantic
  • Ring of Kerry

    • Full day tour around the Ring of Kerry taking in some of the most breathtaking landscape on Ireland’s south west coast
  • Cork

    • Guest Talk by a member of An Garda Siochana (Irish Police Force) about the Irish policing system
    • Visit to a local court sitting* and meeting with a member of the legal profession (subject to availability relating to court schedule – will be replaced with a guest lecture in Criminal Justice if unavailable)
    • Visit Blarney Castle – kiss the famous Blarney Stone for the gift of eloquence!
  • Dublin

    • Coach transfer to Dublin
    • Guest Lecture in Restorative Justice practises in Irish prisons
    • Visit the Guinness Storehouse
  • Dublin

    • Visit Kilmainham Gaol – this historical prison in operation for over 100 years holds major significance in Irish history
    • Tour of Trinity College Dublin including the Book of Kells
    • Farewell Dinner including Irish Music & Dance Show
  • Return to USA

    • Bus transfer to Dublin Airport to return to USA

  • Housing will be in local hotels in Cork and Dublin
  • Double occupancy rooms – 2 people per room with en-suite bathroom
  • Single occupancy rooms available at a supplementary charge
  • Towels, hairdryer etc provided in the hotels

  • Private coach transport is provided for longer journeys
  • Public transport is used for shorter journeys and tickets for this are included in program fees

  • This is a non-credit program led by an experienced EZC Study Abroad educational program leader. This program is open to students, recent graduates and others with an interest in Criminal Justice Studies as well as history and culture of Ireland.
  • Cost $2,750 per person. There is no application fee for this program. A non-refundable $500 deposit is required to secure your place. Full payment is due April 12, 2023. Please note the program fees does NOT include airfare. Once we have reached minimum numbers for this program we will confirm to you that you can go ahead and book flights.

  • Weather in Ireland can be unpredictable – although you will visit in summer time please pack a rain jacket and some warm clothes!
