The Mathematical Renaissance: Italy’s Legacy in Numbers and Theories

12 days Birmingham & London

Counseling

The Mental Health and Counseling Across Cultures Exploring UK in Birmingham and London offers students a unique opportunity to engage with mental health professionals, explore UK counseling frameworks and gain cross-cultural perspectives on counseling and psychotherapy.

Over 12 days, participants will visit leading institutions, meet with experts and explore ethical, cultural and faith-based counseling approaches in the UK. The program combines academic learning, site visits, professional networking and cultural exploration, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of mental health services in an international context.

Through interactive workshops, guest lectures, and hands-on experiences, students will gain insight into counseling ethics, trauma-informed care, mental health advocacy, and faith-based approaches to therapy. Visits to organizations such as Mind London, Bethlem Museum of the  Mind and Kelly’s Cause will provide a deeper understanding of mental health policies, support systems, and therapeutic techniques used in the UK. The program also includes opportunities for students to engage with counseling practitioners, discuss ethical dilemmas and explore how
mental health services operate across different cultural and social contexts.

In addition to the academic and professional experiences, students will enjoy cultural immersion through guided tours, site visits, and local excursions, including a London Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour, visits to Westminster Abbey and the London Eye and a farewell dinner to reflect on their experiences.
