Fine Arts and Sculpture in the United Kingdom

Fine arts & Sculpture – UK

9 days London, Hertfordshire & Leeds

Fine arts & Sculpture

The Fine Arts and Sculpture Faculty-Led Program in the UK offers students a unique opportunity to explore historical and contemporary sculpture across London, Hertfordshire, and Leeds, a global hub for artistic innovation and outdoor gallery design.

Over 9 days and 8 nights, participants will engage with leading galleries, art colleges, and open-air sculpture parks, gaining insight into the evolution of sculptural practice from ancient civilizations to modern abstraction. The program blends academic visits, studio immersion, and cultural exploration for a comprehensive study abroad experience.

Through gallery visits and hands-on creative experiences, students will trace sculpture’s development across centuries and continents. Highlights include a visit to Camberwell College of Arts, the British Museum’s collection of Egyptian, Roman, and Greek sculpture, and the Tate Britain and Tate Modern for historical and contemporary works. A standout experience awaits at the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens in Hertfordshire, where students explore the modernist sculptor’s preserved workspaces and 70-acre open-air estate featuring over 20 monumental bronzes. The journey culminates in Leeds with visits to The Sculpture Gallery and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Europe’s largest outdoor art gallery, spanning 500 acres of historic countryside.

Beyond the galleries, students will enjoy a hands-on pottery class, guided walking tours of London, and memorable dining experiences including a rooftop welcome dinner overlooking the Thames.
