The Commerce and International Relations Faculty-Led Program in the UK offers students a unique opportunity to explore global trade, diplomacy, and corporate strategy across London, Birmingham, and Manchester, three of Britain’s most influential financial and industrial centers.
Over 10 days and 9 nights, participants will engage with leading universities, multinational corporations, and historic commercial hubs, gaining insight into international trade agreements, corporate governance, and the geopolitical dynamics shaping the global economy. The program blends academic engagement, industry immersion, and cultural exploration for a comprehensive study abroad experience.
Through expert visits and corporate site tours, students will examine how policy, commerce, and diplomacy intersect on the world stage. Academic highlights include a lecture on European trade blocks and international corporate governance at the London School of Economics, a session on infrastructure investment and trade policy at the University of Birmingham’s Department of Political Science and International Studies, and a briefing on corporate responsibility and global regulation at the University of Manchester’s Alliance Manchester Business School. Industry exposure comes via a guided visit to Bloomberg L.P.’s European Headquarters and a technical tour of The Co-operative Group’s One Angel Square, examining sustainable corporate infrastructure and ethical business models. A day trip to Nottingham connects students to Britain’s industrial past, exploring the historic Lace Market and its role in global textile trade.
Beyond the boardroom, students will enjoy guided city tours of London and Birmingham, a Birmingham cooking class, and traditional British dining throughout the journey.
